2nd Day of Christmas: Christmas Card Holder

It's the Second Day of Christmas at CKC, and that means another free project for your holiday crafting! Today Melissa will show us how to make a large Christmas decoration that is not only super cute, but also functional:

Isn't it awesome?  One of my favorite things about the Christmas season is sending cards to friends and family, and of course hearing from them in return.  Now we have the perfect way to display them!

You can either hang the card holder right on the wall, as we did above...

Or you can even make it a free-standing decoration by hanging it on a dress form like this awesome tester did!

The Christmas card holder is made of all our favorite things: fabric, trims, buttons, and embellishments -- plus paper clips or mini clothespins for holding the cards and photos!

Are you all excited to make one for your family now?!

Now you're all set to have some fun crafting time and an awesome new card holder!  When you get yours completed, please come share a photo in our patterns group on FB -- we would love to see!

Stay tuned for lots more free projects coming up every day this week and next!

  1. My parenting toolbox is only complete with Educational Toys. From scientific kits to alphabet puzzles, we have a wide variety of them, and they have transformed fun into an educational experience. The fact that these toys promote inquiry and curiosity is what I like most about them. Inculcating a passion for inquiry and learning is more important than rote memorization.
