And only a giant 18 gallon tub of scraps remains now--It's a start anyways.
Hey, how do you like that tack strip? Made that myself too. Roll of cork from Target $1.99, scrap wood from the garage (at least I hope it was scrap, sorry honey!), and a glue gun, Viola! I have another one that's 8 feet long on the adjoining wall above my cutting table. I'd show you that one too, but that side of the room is quite a mess at the moment! It is really handy to have your patterns so accessible, but I admit that it does add to the clutter having it all "out there."
Anyways, I'm looking for some inspiration and some ideas from our fans. I want my room to be pretty and functional and organized. But I'm not good at any of those things, so send me your ideas and photos for a chance to be featured on the blog as a part of my sewing room makeover. Oh, by the way, maybe I should mention that my budget is like 5 cents. Well, maybe I can go a little over, but not much, so keep it thrifty!
If you're in need of a little sewing room inspiration yourself, be sure to go visit Sew Many Ways and read all about Karen's sewing space-- Best. Sewing Room. Ever. Really, you've got to go read about all her tips and tricks. Incredible.
I've started a new board on Pinterest called Sewing Room Makeover to collect even more inspiration.
