"How many outfits does my kid need? Shirts? Pants? Underwear? What about for the next season?"
I don't know about you, but as much as I love making clothes for my kiddo, it can be hard to keep track of what they have vs. what they need! And when I finally get to where we're all set, it seems like it's time to prepare for the next season and start all over again.
But there's nothing a little organizing can't fix, right? I decided to type up this handy dandy wardrobe checklist for all of us to use, all year long! No more wondering what else he/she needs -- just print this off (it's free) and you'll know exactly what to get/make for each of your kiddos!
Of course the needs of your child may be very different from mine, based on where you live, what you like to do, how often you do laundry, whether you like basics vs. trends, etc. So rather than telling you how many of each you need, I left blanks for you to fill in yourself. You can plan amounts for now and change it up through the months/years as needed. I'm going to print a new one for each of my kids every year!
If you don't want to start from scratch, you can zoom in on my photo if you want a basic guide; just keep in mind that I filled this one out for my 5-year-old son who isn't in school yet, likes to get dirty, and lives in a climate that changes dramatically depending on the season. Your child's may be very different and that's okay! I even left a blank line under each season to add in extras they may need, such as my daughter's dance leos or my son's snow pants.
Are you ready to get going on this? It took me just a minute to fill out and now I will have it handy whenever I need it.
There you go! Don't forget to print one for each of your kiddos. I will definitely be taking ours with us next year when we go school shopping!
And now that I got a little organizing out of the way, I can see exactly what I want to start sewing next!
