We have had so much fun with Pokemon the last few weeks and it's time to announce the winners of our contest! The challenge was to use CKC patterns to create a Pokemon costume *or* to use Pokemon fabric in an everyday outfit. We love what you came up with!
Our first winner is Shayna Engel's little cutie in her Pokemon dress! Isn't she adorable? I don't know where she found that purple theme fabric but my daughter is going to need some! Shayna used Kimber's for the bodice and Cosette's for the skirt. Super cute.
And look, her big sis has one too! Double the cuteness! Here she used Frenchy's bodice and Violette's skirt. It sounds like Shayna loves to mix and match her favorite patterns!
Now for the costume entries. Our first place winner is...
Heather Cole! Congratulations!
Heather used Betty's dress pattern and our free lace arm cuff pattern to make this adorable critter. Can you tell who it is?
Did you figure it out?
No cheating...
Pangoro, of course! I think she did an AMAZING job here, don't you?! Plus her little Pangoro girl is beyond adorable.
I had a couple other favorites that I want to share too, just because they made me squeal a little when I saw them. (Blame my kids; they make me play. Or at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.)
I love this one! Can you tell which Pokemon this is in the Mikki tutu? Created by the fabulous Jenny?
It's Jigglypuff! Now go back up and admire her fluffiness! Plus the other two Pokemon trainers in the photo are pretty awesome too.
Okay, and one more. Who's this?!
Hmmmm?
It's Gothita! Another creation made by Shayna Engel. She used Zyrina's, Karley's, and Emmett's for this cosplay. That puffy bow and chest marking was a dead giveaway. Am I right? Great job!
Alright, that's it for now. Thank you to everyone who participated and congratulations to our winners! They each get one free CKC pattern of their choice.
In case you didn't already see it, be sure to come check out our free tutorial for making a plush pokeball! It's way easier than it looks and they turn out amazing!
I hope these creative winners inspired you! I can't wait to see the Pokemon characters that pop up in the next few months.
