How To Tuesday: Door Jam

Shhh, Baby's sleeping! There's nothing worse than a slamming door when you're trying to have quiet time in your home. Today Morgan is here with the solution to all that door noise! It will even hush the sound of the latch clicking when you close Baby's door. Here's Morgan!

To get started you will need one scrap piece of fabric and one piece of fusible fleece that are 5"x 5" each.  You also need two pieces of 1/4" elastic that are 3" long.

First you will fuse your fleece to the back of your fabric.

Next you will place the elastic 1" up from each side of the fabric as shown below, and pin or baste stitch in place.

Next you will fold your fabric in half and sew along the 3 raw edges, making sure to leave a 1" gap somewhere along your sewing.

Flip right side out. Press and pin the opening closed. Top stitch 1/8" from the edge along all four sides. And just like that, you're done!

Happy Sewing Y'all,  Morgan
