Did Somebody Say 'Fabric'???

Okay, we are SO pleased to announce our newest monthly feature!!!
We got Brenda from Pink Castle Fabrics to fill us in on the  newest and cutest lines. How excited are you? If you haven't had the pleasure of shopping at Pink Castle Fabrics you are in for a treat. She has an amazing taste in fabrics and carries a wide array of colors and patterns; it's so hard to find people that offer a nice balance like she does. Best of all? She's a fellow Michigander! Oh yeah! Look for lots of great posts from her in the future and maybe even some fun surprises we have up our sleeves for everyone!

Hi everyone! My name is Brenda and I own Pink Castle Fabrics. I'm interrupting Shannon and Tiffany's regular post today to talk to you all about fabric!

Each month I'm going to stop by and let you know what's coming up in the next few weeks and point out some things you should look for. The fabric industry is stepping up it's game and putting out more and more great lines and it's easy to get lost in everything that is coming out. I will do my best to highlight things I think are going to be big winners so you don't miss out!
No words to waste! Let's get into it! I was lucky enough to get out to Kansas City last month for Quilt Market and boy did I order a lot of good stuff. We all better get our sewing machines oiled up and ready to go!

28 NEW Kona Cotton Solids

This is by far the line I'm looking forward to the most this month. Kona solids are fabulous meaty solids and they have a color to match almost everything. Robert Kaufman is really showing that they are paying attention to the market with this new collection. Lots of new grays and neutrals that I've seen sewists snatching up these days and a new Navy Blue (Nautical they call it). We are all going to see a lot more navy blue in the next coming months! We should see these in stock late June.

Seaside by October Afternoon

This Riley Blake line is the first of many new "nautical" themed lines coming out this season. Seaside has a really great vintage feel to it. This line also has some great prints for little boys in it. As a mother of a 2 year old son, I appreciate lines with "boy friendly" prints, I mean check out this plaid:

Perfect for summer shorts for little boys!

Song Bird by Carina Gardner

Again, Riley Blake Designs bringing the heat with another great line this month. I love the bold colors in this line. Oh, what's that? More dark blue??

Love this line. It has a lot of very versatile prints. Stripes, dots, flowers. Every print is a winner in my book.

Fox Hollow by Monaluna
All Images are from Monaluna's Website

YES! The foxes are back! These popular little guys from Monaluna's Anika line are back! I about died of cute overload at the Monaluna booth at Quilt Market. First of all, Jennifer and her husband are super nice and a super cute couple. And then there was this fabric:

Do you see it? It's an alphabet! The little house is an "H", the gnome is a "G"...there's even a "U"nicorn! A+ Monaluna. And these are all on GOTS certified Organic cotton. Bonus points.

Other notable June lines:
The Christmas lines are coming...
Cherry Christmas by Aneela Hoey for Moda Fabrics
Joy by Kate Spain for Moda Fabrics
Dear Mr. Claus by Cosmo Cricket for Moda Fabrics

Whew! Okay guys, I need a nap after all that! Please feel free to ask any questions you'd like over on my Facebook Page! Thanks for letting me pop in and take over Shannon and Tiffany! Until next month!
