Day 4: DIY Witch's Broom for Dolls

It's Day 4 and we know you're ready for another free tutorial! On Monday, we showed you how to make a mini witch's hat. Well today, Sarah has another mini accessory for you to make!

Isn't it tiny and adorable?!  This mini witch's broom can be cute on all kinds of Halloween decor, plus it's perfectly sized for your 18" dolls.

Time for our mini broom tutorial!  Here's Sarah:

Doll Witch’s Broom Tutorial

Materials Needed

· Wooden dowel
· Glue gun
· 3/8” ribbon
· Scissors
· Embellishments (optional)

Step 1: Cut 10 pieces of ribbon 6.5” each. Singe all ends of the ribbons to prevent fraying.

Step 2: Take one 6.5” piece and fold it into a “v”. Add a dab of glue to hole the shape. Repeat with the other nine strips of ribbon.

Step 3: Begin gluing the ribbon strips ½” up from the bottom of your wooden dowel.

Step 4 : Continue gluing until all ten ribbon strips are spread around the dowel’s circumference.

Step 5: Add a small ribbon ¼” down from the top of the ribbon strips.

Step 6: Embellish to your liking!!

Then simply hand it over to your doll!

We hope you enjoyed this tutorial and that it also inspires you to think outside the box in creating new accessories for your dolls!  While you're feeling inspired, go ahead and plan out your doll's costume for our Halloween contest. We can't wait to see what you make.

Let's Create! ~ Kristen
