We are so happy to have our friend Laura from Ellie Inspired visiting the blog today! Thank you Laura for this wonderful post.
Today I am happy to be part of Create Kids Couture’s Christmas Tutorials!
Baking with kids is always fun around Christmastime. In my free patterns, I have a boys’ simple apron and I have a girl’s little hostess apron. I decided to feature the girl’s apron today and whip up a cute little matching doll apron.
A cute little hostess apron with a heart pocket that fits sizes 1-8. Simple and quick. You can make one of these in a half hour.

And, just so you know how our photo shoots normally go….this picture tells the story pretty accurately. See my sweet nieces with their sweet smiles? And then there’s Ellie….
Crazy girl.
The matching doll apron is ultra-quick to make too! These patterns are perfect for a beginner seamstress or a mom on a crunched holiday schedule! Click below for the pattern:
And one last thing to leave with you….this is our family fudge recipe that Ellie and I actually made the other day. It is so easy but so yummy:
Milk Chocolate Microwave Fudge
3 c. milk chocolate chips
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 c. margarine
1 c. chopped walnuts (optional - we NEVER add these! :))
Put all ingredients (except nuts) in a large glass bowl. Cook at medium (50%) until chips are melted (3-5 minutes), stirring once or twice during cooking time. Stir in nuts. Pour into a well-greased 8 x 8 inch dish. Refrigerate until set.
These will keep VERY WELL in the freezer! In fact, they don't freeze solid and we actually prefer to eat them right from the freezer!
Thank you Create Kids Couture for allowing me to be part of your fun Christmas week!
