It's the 12th Day of Christmas and we are super excited about today's free project! You may remember the free children's hospital gown pattern we shared with you last year. Well, now we have a similar little outfit you can make for your kiddo's best friend too!
Isn't this the perfect way to cheer up a child during their hospital stay? I just love that it includes the top, scrubs, and booties. Today's free pattern comes to us from Jeannie who did the original children's gown pattern. She also happens to be our new men's pattern designer too!
In case you didn't grab it earlier, here's the link to the children's version. This gown is hospital- requirement-friendly and has awesome coverage in back. Plus it's super comfy and you can make it in their favorite fabric.
The bear gown and scrub set has sizing for a standard Build-a-Bear teddy bear, as well as a monkey size too. The scrub pants even have a cute little cutout for the tail! Super cute!
Are you ready to make one for your little guy or girl?
That's it! You're all ready to go! We hope you enjoy making this pattern. When you're done, please come share your photos in our patterns group on Facebook! We would love to see the finished project and hear about your kiddo's journey at the hospital.

ReplyDelete4 April 2019: What's the difference between the buildabear bear size, and the buildabear monkey size? My granddaughter just has the bears and her favourite, Anna (Frozen) is 17ins head to toe.
ReplyDelete..... continued.... She will soon be going in for a little operation, so I thought I would make both the patient gown and the doctor scrubs for two of her bears .... but not sure which pattern to use... bear? or monkey?
ReplyDeleteHave waited ...... now decided to just go with the monkey size, but doubling the 1/4 inch seam allowances to 1/2 inch. On reading the instructions, the English does seem a little unclear, particularly the scrubs gown's v-neck.... Just me? I'll have a go though.
