Friday Recap

It's been a week full of surprise sales - have you been following along? If not, be sure to check in on our Facebook page each day. There's one going on right now! This week we have also had releases for boys, girls, and babies that you won't want to miss. Let's take a closer look.

New Releases

Dahlia's Double Flutter Pocket Top, Dress, and Maxi is loaded with style and cuteness! It features double flutter sleeves, a faux sash, and two adorable pockets right in front where she can keep her treasures!

On Wednesday we released five new baby girl patterns!  First we have Aubrey's Knot Dress, a favorite and quick to sew up. Then Kelsey's Ruffle Leggings are available in pants and capri lengths for your little one to wear paired with any top or dress. Ivy's Criss-Cross Ruffle Dress is perfect for summer or layered for fall.  Layne's Ruffle Shorts are sweet and have a lot of options. And paired with Layne's is Seyla's super full and twirly dress that has lots of ruffles and a shirred bodice for the perfect fit.

Yesterday we released two new boy patterns! Porter's Button-up Shirt features an over-sized (or regular) pocket, short sleeves, and a straight line hem for you little guy.  Baby Wyatt's Shortalls has a snap-crotch, snap straps, and can be made of woven or knit fabric. Both of these patterns are on sale for 30% off until Friday at 7 pm est!

On the Blog

We all love our machines but do you know how to gather by hand? You never know when this skill might come in handy! You can learn how to do it on Monday's blog post.

Look at the adorable sash on this Hadley's!  On Tuesday we showed you how to make these "peek-a-boo" style straps using two different fabrics!

If you want to look fabulous and feel extra comfy at the same time, you can check out Katie's blog post on Wednesday where she teaches us how to make shorts and pants with a yoga waistband!

Then on Thursday Shannon showed us how to set up a Facebook business page and get off to a good start for successful interaction with our fans. It's such a useful tool!

Our next CKC Sew-Along will begin on Wednesday, July 30! It will be Back to School theme, using either Dahlia's or Porter's patterns - or both!  If you are not yet a part of our Sew-Alongs group, we would love to have you join in on the fun! Beginning on the July 30, each day we will work on certain steps together and progress through the pattern(s) as a group. It's really fun and there are prizes! Come see us in the CKC Sew-Alongs group for more info. And if you want to participate, don't forget to buy Porter's while it's on sale today!

Like we mentioned at the beginning of the recap, we have been surprising our fans with flash sales all week long. If you haven't seen them so far, don't worry - there are still more coming!  In fact there's one going on right now and another will start around noon est on Friday. Be sure to check in on our fan page regularly or join the CKC Patterns group where it's easier to see ALL our announcements as they come.

And now it's time for Half-Off Friday! Let's start with women's and tweens!

All day Friday we will have Women's and Tweens' sizes of Bridgette's Palazzo Pants on sale for 50% off! Bridgette's are an easy sew and you will love how cute and comfy you feel in these unique pants or capris! They can be made of a variety of fabrics and come with a flat front waistband -- or  you could add a yoga waistband like we taught you on the blog this week!

The girls' pattern we have chosen to be half off on Friday is Coco's Fabric Pettiskirt! Coco's is super cute worn as a skirt paired with a top, or layered under dresses to give them that extra poof of a pettiskirt. You can get Coco's for 50% off all day Friday - not only in Girls' sizes, but also in Tweens'

That's all for this week's recap and announcements!  We hope you all have an enjoyable and productive weekend.

  1. As you know, businesses of all sizes right from McDonald’s and Coca-Cola down to your local hardware store are trying to get a presence on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Think of how many ‘Fan pages’ and advertisements you have seen on Facebook recently for businesses in your local area.

It’s a big thing right now and it’s making people just like you a lot of money.
