Weekly Wound Up

This week brought a ginormous change for us, as we re-branded to become CKC Patterns! How do you like our new look?!  Our little pattern company has grown to include such a variety of styles and categories that we decided it was time to include it all in our branding. Along with the new name comes a fresh look on our website, blog, logos, cover photos, and even the template for our new patterns.  Yes, we've been busy!  Now you will have all the details you have always loved about Create Kids Couture, brought to you even better as CKC Patterns!

And if all that wasn't awesome enough already, guess what... Our first new release below can be downloaded for FREE!

New Releases

That's right!  To celebrate our new branding, we are giving you this FREE pattern available in baby and girl sizes! Trixie's is a cute little tunic or dress with a fitted bodice and lace embellishments. Its short bodice and full twirly skirt makes it a flattering dress for all ages. Trixie's is a very fast and easy sew, which makes it great for those late night, last minute outfits! Download Trixie's now for free

Our next new pattern is not free, but it is fabulous!  Bambi’s Shape-wear is a form fitting pant for girls and women, and also includes biker shorts and capris options. It's designed to flatter your natural curves and has the perfect amount of rise, with a yoga or elastic waist band. The pattern also includes detailed instructions to add appliqués to active and dance wear styles. Use the included pattern pieces to add stripes for a slimming effect if you choose. The optional heart adds flair to your derrière. And of course you can use the same technique to create any design!

Also new this week is Moxie's in Babies and Girls sizes. Moxie's is a classic boutique-style dress that you will fall in love with every time you make it!  The curved bodice is a real statement piece on this dress; it's perfect for customizing with the included center ruffle and ribbon embellishments, and you can even add add the under-bodice ruffle or piping. For the skirt, we include the three most popular lengths: tunic, dress, and maxi dress.

Last but not least, we have Esther’s Ruched Top and Dress for Babies, Girls, and Women! Esther's is an easy and versatile pattern that you will want to make over and over again! The bodice is designed for use with stretch knit fabrics, but the skirt can be made of either woven or knit fabric. Esther's features a gorgeous gathered neckline that can be left alone as is, or can be embellished with any sewing trim of your choice. You can make it with single skirt or double skirt, in either top length or dress length! It also has ruched sleeves in multiple lengths, for that extra elegant touch! Esther's is 30% through Sunday night.

What do you do if you can't find a zipper the right length?
Answer: You buy a longer size and shorten it!

It's super easy to do too! Come see our tutorial for shortening a zipper to the size you need. We cover all different types of zippers, and there's even a video!
