We know you're going to FLIP for today's free blog project! It's the Eighth Day of Christmas at CKC and we have been looking forward to this one for a long time! If your kiddos are like ours, they are crazy about all things nautical lately -- especially sharks and mermaids. So this gift-giving season we know you can't go wrong making them a comfy Fin Tail Blanket! Perfect for boys, girls, and even adults!
Nikki put a lot of time into getting this pattern just perfect for you, and our testers had way too much fun along the way. (Let's just leave it at that.) Not only do you get a mermaid tail with fun details on the fins and at the waist -- every little girl's dream -- but you also can make a shark version with sharp, pointy teeth and a dorsal fin! Go ahead and take another look. They're awesome!
The pattern is rated Beginner and is intended for use with fleece. So not only is it a really fun gift, but also sewing-friendly and super, super comfy!
You can download the PATTERN PIECES for our Fin Tail Blanket here.
You can download the INSTRUCTIONS for our Fin Tail Blanket here.
Just a note -- be sure to print only the pattern pieces you need for your size, or you will end up with a LOT of extra pages. You will find a "Print Saver" guide on the first page of the pattern pieces, telling you which pages to print for your size. We kept the pattern pieces and instructions separate to make them a little easier to navigate.
That's it. You're all set! Enjoy the pattern and don't forget to show us (and all your friends) when you're done! You can pin the above photo by hovering over it and clicking the Pinterest icon.
