Friday Recap

This might have been one of the fastest weeks ever in history! I'm sure some of you might disagree depending on what you have had going on this week, but my family has been on a little vacation and I'm not ready for it to end! I was excited though, when I was sorting through the suitcases last night and realized that most of my daughter's outfits that she chose to pack are CKC! Talk about making a mom happy! Anyway, even with some of us on vacation we've had a productive week at CKC. Here's a little recap of information you won't want to miss:

New Releases

It's Anna's Sweetheart Halter Dress for dogs! This pattern is perfect for small to medium breed dogs and has the option to add a D-ring loop for easy attachment to a leash. The velcro straps make it extremely comfortable and easy to dress your pooch!

On Wednesday we released four new baby patterns. First we have Baby Connor's Diaper Cover Set, perfect for cake smash photos and everyday photo shoots! Connor's includes a baby bowtie, diaper cover with back pockets, and optional suspenders that attach by buttons or snaps. Our second pattern is the cutest baby girls' romper with full ruffle bum! Jaimesyn's Ruffle Baby Butt Romper features four full rows of ruffles, flutter sleeves, full front panel, and optional snap crotch for easy diaper changes. Next is Harper's Pillowcase Ruffle Dress and Top paired with Emma's Ruffle Bum Bloomers. Perfect for all sewing levels, both of these pieces sew up fast and are sweet for all occasions.

Yesterday we released a brand new girls' bathing suit pattern and it is adorable! Arielle's Tankini features a long ruffle on the tankini and bottoms that are super comfy and have great coverage. It will be a favorite pattern even for those of you haven't made a bathing suit before! You and your daughter will both love Arielle's and it is on sale for 30% off until 5 pm est.

On the Blog

This week on the blog we featured our latest Monthly Mash-up done by Deborah Koch of Ma Cherie Kids! There are even more fabulous photos showing it off and telling how she did it, so don't miss out!

Pattern weights are super helpful with sewing and craft projects and now you can learn how to make your own! You can find that tutorial here

If you have been tuning in for our Serging 101 series, you'll be happy to know that this week on the blog we showed how to make a lettuce edge using your serger. It is much easier than you might think!

It's contest time! Our challenge to you is to make a CKC outfit in red, white, and blue for the Fourth of July! You can use any CKC pattern - girl, boy, dog, etc. Take a picture of your loved one wearing it, post it on the CKC Fan Page and tag Create Kids Couture, label the outfit with which pattern(s) you used, and post it as "CKC's Fourth of July contest". The contest ends at 11:59 est on Sunday, July 6. The top three winners will win great prizes! We are looking for the entry with the most creativity, so go nuts! We can't wait to see what you make!

Speaking of the Fourth of July... We are having a sale on all the CKC patterns shown above that we have used to make Fourth of July outfits for our own kids! You can find the selected outfits in the sales section of the website here and they are all 30% off. (Remember that tiered pricing goes into effect if you buy 3 or more patterns at once, out of any CKC categories!)

Have you had a chance to check out the unique CKC items we have for sale in our Cafe Press shop? How cute would this clock be in your sewing room?  Also, you can send your family a subtle message while using your new pot holder. Check out these and many more of our CKC items in our Cafe Press shop here

It's time for Half-off Friday! And today we have chosen a pattern for the sale that is available in girls', tweens', and women's sizes!  Here it is:

That's right!  It is Cassidy's Corset Cover Dress!  Cassidy's is a unique dress cover that looks amazing layered over any peasant dress, such as Marilyn's or Marissa's. Cassidy's features a corset design with ties that can be worn in the front or the back. Both options are simply stunning! Cassidy's is 50% off all day Friday and you can get it for girls, tweens, or yourself. In fact, why not get all three?

That wraps up our Friday Recap for this week's happenings at CKC. We hope you all have a nice weekend!  As for me, I think I have a bit of unpacking to do.

Let's Create! ~ Kristen
