Friday Recap

Hello and happy Friday from Create Kids Couture! Are you ready for some news and updates? And how about a sale?  Sounds great to me!  Let's do a quick run-down of all that's been going on at CKC this past week to make sure we're all caught up:

New Releases

We are so excited to announce the release of our first ever quilt top at CKC, Barbara's Bed Ruffle Quilt Top! Look at all those ruffles! Barbara's comes with sizing for crib/throw, twin, full, queen, and king size beds and includes step-by-step photo instructions that you have come to love from CKC.

We now have our Elise's Everyday Princess Dress pattern available in doll, tween AND women sizes! Elise's looks amazing in colors from Frozen or in any other colors you can think of for a princess! The neck and sleeves are soft knit, while the bodice and skirt are woven. It's the perfect princess dress!

This week we had four tween releases and they are all perfect for spring/summer! First up is Allegra's All-Purpose Pinafore, which has a unique bodice that can be tied multiple ways. Next we have Layne's Ruffle Shorts that feature a single ruffle at the bottom and then either a flat-front waist or a ruffle waist.  Next we have Ophelia's Flutter Sleeve Ruffle Dress, which is simple and frilly all at once.  And finally we have our much-requested upsize, Rayna's Retro Romper! Your tweens have a stylish summer ahead!

On the Blog

With the release of Barbara's Bedruffle Quilt Top, we did two blog posts this week on how to finish and bind your quilt once you have sewn the quilt top. These instructions apply to a variety of quilt styles and sizes.  And even if you've never made a quilt before, we will help walk you through it and you'll have a gorgeous new quilt on your bed in no time!

On How-To Tuesday we showed how easy it is to make a unique checkbook cover using nothing more than fabric scraps from your stash!

Have you wanted to make Poppy's Dress or Rayna's Romper, but you were concerned about your child getting in and out of the outfit herself? We have a great solution for that- adding buttons to the front straps!! No need for her to untie the bow at all! One of our testers showed us on the blog yesterday exactly how she did it, so now you can too!

Sales

And that brings us to our Half-Off Friday announcements! In Women's our HOF pattern is Marian's Lacy A-Line Knit Dress.

Marian's has options for straps or no straps and is perfect dressed up for special occasions or dressed down for a day at the park or beach. For today only you can get Marian's for 50% off!

In Girl's sizes we have chosen Delilah's Cotton Sunsuit to be Half-Off all day Friday!

Delilah's is meant for playing in the sun and can even be worn as a bathing suit! It can be made of cottons and even seersucker. With two bodice options and two ruffle options, you are sure to make the perfect sunsuit for your little girl! Delilah's is 50% off today only so grab it while you can - it's a steal!

That's all for this week's recap! We hope you have an exciting weekend full of summer fun.

Let's Create! ~ Kristen
