Friday Recap

This is it! The last full week before Christmas has come and gone. Did you get all of your sewing projects finished? We've had a great week here at CKC and we want to make sure you didn't miss any of it while you were busy, busy, busy with Christmas preparations. Here's a quick recap:

New Releases

This week we released four new patterns! They have been requested many times so we hope you're excited. First we have Paris, now available in Tween and Women's sizes. Then Jenna's Tween Ruffle Pants, which have a flat front that your tween will love.  Last, we have Cassidy's Corset cover for Women. Here are the images and links for each:

You have until 6 pm EST Friday to email your videos in - see the first link below for more details. But if you're not in the singing mood, you can still enjoy the tutorials below. We had some pretty fantastic gift ideas!

On the blog this week we had a Tips and Tricks post on how to line up stripes, polka dots, and chevron to make them look great every time.

We also had our monthly mash-up with Deborah Koch from Ma Cherie Kids. She combined Yvette's and Jewel's to create this beautiful dress. Click here to see all the details she put into this mash-up for us.

Events

It's time for our annual Christmas contest! We love seeing your kids in their Christmas CKC creations. We have four categories for the contest: girl, boy, tween, and women. To enter, take a photo of the person in his/her Christmas outfit and post it to the CKC Fan Page. Be sure to label it Christmas Contest and tag Create Kids Couture. The contest is open until December 29 at midnight EST. There will be one winner in each category and then one of those will be the grand prize winner. The grand prize is 3 CKC patterns of your choice and all other winners get one CKC pattern of your choice. Good luck!  Here is the link to see the gallery of Christmas contest photos that we have received so far. We love to see the excitement in your kids' sweet faces!

In other CKC news, we will soon be ready to launch our new and improved website!  It will have a "Boutique Directory" tab right on the website, for people who love our patterns but don't sew and want to buy CKC outfits.  If you would like your boutique to be listed in the Boutique Directory, you can purchase those spots for $40-$60 depending on the spot. Please email courtney@createkidscouture.com to get everything set up in time for our new launch!

We also still have a few Blog Sponsor spaces available. We have had a very successful blog again this month and we would love to have you be a part of it! For information on being a blog sponsor, please email kristen@createkidscouture.com.

Sales

It's time for Half-Off Friday!

This week we have chosen Rihanna's Flower Pants and Capris for our HOF pattern!  We have had a lot of interest lately in our different styles of ruffle pants so we knew you would love to see these on sale! They are half-off all day Friday.

Rihanna's can be made as pants or capris and will look really cute paired with any of our CKC tops or dresses.  They can be made with a variety of fabrics so they are good for any weather. Rihanna's is a pretty quick sew and your daughter will love the flower detail.

That's all for this week's recap! We hope you have a nice weekend and a very Merry Christmas week coming up!

Let's Create! ~ Kristen
