It's Friday and you know what that means. Recap time! It's been a big week here at CKC so I have a lot of exciting things to share.
First up, we have two new pattern releases. The much requested Hazel's Hippie Dress is now available in Women's and Tweens' sizes! I was personally able to be a tester for this dress and I must say that it is fun sew and turns out gorgeous! It's perfect for Fall.
You can find the Women's pattern for Hazel's Hippie Dress here.

Last week we started a new page that focuses just on CKC Sales and New Releases. Be sure to like that page so you don't miss out on anything! I have to tell you a little secret: There's a big special going on for 30% off all patterns! Just find the post on that page with the secret code. (Yes, it will even work on Half-Off Friday.)
Next up on the recap - Contests! We have two contests going on right now. The first is a Halloween Costume Contest. We want to see how you incorporate CKC into your child's homemade costume! At least one aspect needs to be from CKC, and this includes boys and girls! Post a photo to our wall of your child wearing the costume, label it "Halloween Contest," and be sure to tag CKC. This ends on November 3. The first place winner gets 3 patterns of your choice, and 2nd and 3rd places also get a free pattern. One entry per child.
The second contest is the Fall Pattern Challenge over on the Sew-Along page. It starts tomorrow and you can join in on the fun! It's a great opportunity to try out some of our new patterns, get help from CKC staff, and even win prizes. Here's where you go to get in on the challenge: CKC Sew-Alongs.
This week on the blog we had a super fun free pattern for Candi's Catch-All Bag. Just think of how much trick-or-treat candy can fit inside! Perfect for sharing with parents. I think I might also make one of these bags for my kids to keep their Legos in. This week we also got a new blogger at CKC (that's me!) and together with wonderful Morgan, we put together today's Tips for Sewing with Satin. Satin is fabulous for making costumes and we know you can master it!
Half-Off Friday, at last!
This week we have two patterns that we're offering for half off and they look gorgeous together! In fact they're both pictured above. Jewel's Stripwork Dress and Cienna's Stripwork Ruffle Pants are perfect for Fall, and they are each half off for today only. (I have made three Jewel's dresses this week and I'm pretty sure I need to make some Cienna's now too!) That's all for this week's recap, thank you!
Let's create! ~ Kristen
