There's not a lot to share tonight for weekly recap because there is so much going on behind the scenes of CKC this week. Tiffany and Shannon have been busy prepping for the sewing expo this weekend. And Ive been working on some new giveaways and tutorials for the blog. And all our designers have been busy getting some new patterns to our wonderful testers.
So lets get started. This week we had some fun stuff going on the blog. To start off we
were lucky enough to be part of the Soho Bandana blog tour by Indygo Junction. To find out all about the awesome new fabric collection by Amy Barickman!! It's even more gorgeous in person, if... you can believe that. Go HERE! Also- Indygo Junction is hosting a giveaway to celebrate National Sewing Month. Enter for your chance to win more than $2,000 worth of prizes!!
And on that note one of lucky readers will win a one yard cut of the entire collection!! So make sure you run over there and enter. I plan on announcing the winner sometime tomorrow on our facebook fan page.
Next we also released a free pattern for a dolls purse. Isn't that perfect?!? It is made to match the free girls purse we released this spring. Every girl will be thrilled for her dolly to have matching accessories! As with all CKC patterns, this pattern is girly, ruffled, and super easy! This is also great because it doesn't take much fabric- you can probably even use your scraps! Very big impact with very little work and cost.
To download both the Girl's and Doll's purse patterns follow the link below.
Now on to half off Friday. Which is also going to be our October sew a long. And we have a pretty awesome sponsor this month. Truly Bella Fabric shop is giving away some fabric to the winner and is also offering 15% off on any order over $20. When you use code "blogfollowers" So make sure to go check her out.!
So now on to the pattern! Oh and there's word that it's is coming soon in tween, womens and dolls, so you might want to get extra fabric. So here it is... Its Fairy's!! Just in time to Halloween. This dress was created for all that little girl fun and make believe play!! Make this a sweet little fairy dress and pair it with some fairy wings for that perfect sweet dress, or use some themed fabrics for a more edgy character look! Its perfect for any season by wearing alone in the warm months and using a long sleeve tshirt and some leggings in cooler seasons! This dress is a reverse knot dress with optional shirring if you like a more fitted look.
And that wraps up our Weekly Recap.
Happy Sewing Y'all,
