Weekly Recap--Freebies, Half-Off Friday and a Contest. Oh my!

Hello, hello!!! Hope you all had a wonderful week! Tiffany and I sure did :) We have been so pleased with our new blogger Morgan and all of the things she's been working on! What a week of freebies, eh? We're late today so let's get this ball rolling......

First up, we released our Melinda's Ruffled T-Shirt pattern to go with the Sage's Sailor Ruffle Shorts we released last week. How cute is this set together? Can be made without the bib (above) or with the bib (below). Embellish it up to your heart's delight! We love how creative you all are. I'm sure you will be creating some amazing Melinda and Sage sets and we look forward to seeing them all!

We also featured a fun new series on Monday called "Mix Match Monday" where Morgan features awesome creations our fans have made using 2 (or more?!?) Create Kids Couture patterns together to create a new outfit! It was super cute and you will want to check it out every Monday for some awesome inspiration! Below is a sneak peek of one Tiffany did recently by mixing Primrose Ruffled Corset Dress and Sarafina's Fitted Party Dress to make a Rapunzel-style dress. Isn't it darling?  If you would like to have your creation featured be sure to send your beautiful pictures to Morgan@CreateKidsCouture.com

Next up, we had Morgan whip up this awesome free tutorial on how to make the triple ruffle headbands Tiffany uses in so many of her outfits. They are quick, easy, and a great way to use up those scraps you have lying around! Be sure to check that out!

We were SOOOOOO happy to finally have our FREE pattern from Fabric.com released this week. We could hardly hold it in any longer! lol. We're not so good at surprises sometimes. The much anticipated Allison's Ruffled Pillowcase Dress and Top is waiting for you do download. Also, it's not a traditional pillowcase-style. It has the look of the pillowcase with none of the pesky problems you have to deal with when your child is wearing it....like having it fall off. lmao. Yes, that has happened to my daughter numerous times!

We also just re-released Molly's Faux Apron Peasant Dress and Morgan did a bunch of mini tutorials on how to jazz this dress up even more with lots of different embellishments. If you're scared of embellishments or have always wondered how to do some of them, you will definitely want to check this blog out! And pick up your copy of Molly's today because it's the perfect little dress. My daughter wears her's every. single. week. And I don't care because its adorable. lol.

Finally, we released Abby's Night Gown and Bloomers set in doll sizes. Holy moly is this pattern CUTE! lol. Your daughter will be in heaven if you whip up one of these sets for her and her doll. We know our girls were SO excited. It's adorable. Tiffany and I are completely addicted to making these outfits and our girls are so happy. Nothing makes you feel better than when your daughter is as excited about what you made as you are. I don't know about you, but my daughter isn't so excited about the clothes I make anymore so this is fun!

Oh, and don't forget that its super easy to embellish with lace! Just use our handy dandy Adding Lace to your Outfit tutorial we did a couple months ago. Isn't it beautiful with lace?

And one more with my daughter because she loves her dolly so much and I think this picture is adorable....

We are done with recapping this week. Whew! I'm outta breath. We accomplished a lot this week! WINNING! lol. So now, on to Half-Off Friday, which if you're in our Facebook Group I'm sure you know is Elena's and if not....SURPRISE! It's Elena's Twirly Peasant Dress.

Isn't it beautiful? This dress can be dressed up or down. My daughter wore the last one I made all summer long and then all winter long paired with the Hailey's Triple Ruffle Pants. OMG! So many compliments everywhere we went!

It's the perfect little twirling dress and at $6 today only it is a steal for your pattern collection. This is one of our best-selling dresses EVER! People love this dress and you will too!

Moving on to our weekly "Pin It to Win It" contest..... Please follow the link below to our pin, repin it, and you are entered for a chance to win a FREE pattern! Simple as that!

Have a wonderful weekend! Hopefully, we left you with enough projects to work on to keep you busy! lol.
Happy Sewing!
Shannon and Tiffany
